Cats don't apologize...

...for not writing much in their blogs.

It is HOT here! My fur is very thick. The curse of being a Maine Coon. I am from moist Vancouver and this dry Arizona weather makes my coat matted.

I hate being brushed. Even when People#1 gives me treats afterwards. I just don't like it.

I change my meow when I want wet food. I think my People are getting the hint. I hope that this will help my coat be silky and smooth!

Any of you cats out there know of any solutions? PLEASE HURRY, before People#1 cuts out any more clumps of fur. The surface of my coat is starting to look like the craters of the Moon.

Oh, Rupert, you poor thing! I just brushed Enya (my Maine Coon friend) today, and if it makes you feel any better, she really liked it, even though she used to hate it. OK, yeah, she tried to snap my arm off when I had the audacity to try and brush her leg instead of her torso, but, yeah, at 15 she has finally learned to like having her head and bod brushed. I just don't dare try to brush her tummy unless I'm feeling suicidal or something. So maybe you'll like it (partly) someday. . .

It's lovely and cool here, which is really just wrong for MI in July, but I'm not complaining! At least you have "dry heat." ^_^ Maybe you'd like a lion cut like Amanda's "Geisha" gets. >^_^<

Have you asked your humans to feed you a little bit of raw egg 2 or 3 times a week? It really makes our coats so soft and shiny and manageable. Much easier to brush and it hurts a lot less. Sort of like conditioner that works from the inside. And speaking of conditioner, have them get you the child's conditioner in the pump spray bottle and I bet you love the results.
